This was the first match of the semi-final round of the 2003 Elite 8 women’s tournament. After co-winning the opening battle royal match and then defeating Jessica Dally in the first round, Sarah Stock was ready to face whichever girl came her way next. That girl just happened to be “Big Red,” April Hunter. Hunter gained her way into the semi-finals with a victory over Ariel in the first round.
Stock wasted no time and immediately began wrestling Hunter. Taking her down and working over her leg into a half crab-like hold. Hunter, to her credit, kept up with Stock and showed she’s got some good wrestling and grappling ability as well. Both were determined to make it to the final round and pulled out all the stops in this match.
