Puma is one of the most underrated and under appreciated wrestlers in So-Cal, even though he has scored victories over such wrestlers as Ricky Reyes, Zokre, Phoenix Star, Charles Mercury, Black Tigers, Tony Kozina, Chad Collyer, UK Kid, Josh Prohibition and even APW’s own Bobby Quance. Not many remember but back in April Puma actually won New Japan USA’s American Young Lion’s Tournament, by scoring victories over Tommy Williams, Eric Matlock, and a man who took JJ Perez to the limit at APW’s May Mayhem in King City, Chad Wicks. He even recently debuted for TNA on their recent “Victory Road” PPV.
Thus far JJ and Puma have met only once in the ring. Back in August at WPW’s Best of the West, JJ narrowly scored a victory over Puma. Some fans called it match of the night and said there was a lot of stiff back and forth action. That night fans were thoroughly impressed with JJ’s so-cal debut and I’m sure APW’s fans are just as hungry to see what Puma is all about.
This was a fantastic match with a shocking finish.
