Before the match, APW Commissioner Gabe Ramirez came to the ring and let Robert Thompson know that even though this was an Above The Law Match, the only one that would be Above The Law would be Melissa. Ramirez said that if Thompson cheats he will lose the match and be forced to hand the gold over to Melissa...on the other hand, Melissa could use any tactics she wished...and not be DQ'ed. The fans loved this decision, and so did Melissa.
Throughout the match Thompson was not allowed clinched fists, pulling hair, choking etc...and referee Kristina McGraw did a great job of making sure he played by the rules. On the other hand, it was Melissa who was using just about every dirty play in the book that she could come up with...including choking the life out of the Wheelman with her unraveled wrist tape.
At one point, Melissa even tied Thompson's hands behind his back. This is a match not to be missed!
