This match started off as a straight six man tag-team contest. KAFU was still looking to extract revenge on Derek Sanders for winning the Universal Title at Kristmas Kaos and for costing him his match against Sandman in Bakersfield the previous week. The All Pro Rangers were looking for some revenge of their own on the Mafia in an effort to get a rematch for the APW Tag-Team Titles. For some reason Sanders came out to the ring with both Tag-Team belts. Before he could even get into the ring Vennis DeMarco attacked Sanders in the warzone and took back the belts which rightfully belonged to them.
DeMarco then got so enraged that he went upstairs to the broadcast booth and began attacking the commentator, Nic Aragon. After being pulled away by multiple members of the production team DeMarco returned downstairs to the ring to begin the match.
Shortly after Commissioner Gabe Ramirez paused the match and announced that because of the unprovoked attack on Aragon, the tag-team titles would now be on the line and that if either DeMarco, Chris Colioni or even Kafu were to be pinned or made to submit that the Mafia would lose the tag straps and whoever won the pin would become the new tag champions.
Would the team of Sanders and the All Pro Rangers rise to the occasion and capitalize on the turn of events and end the evening as new Tag-Team Champions? What kind of factors will both Roland Alexander and Johnny LaRocca have on the match? Fans have seen what kind of chaos they can cause when they are at ringside alone. What will happen when they are BOTH out there?
