Halloween Hell 2 will forever be a historic night in APW history. In the weeks leading up to this show, Gym Wars crowds were growing so large there was concern that APW was exceeding the occupancy limit for the building. This combined with the city Fire Marshal being called on several occasions by "APW-Haters" had many wondering if HH2 was even going to take place.
Where there's a will, there's a way and APW proved that by moving Gym Wars OUTSIDE the building and producing one of the most memorable nights of APW wrestling in history. In the main event, Robert Thompson battled Vicious Vic Grimes. This was one of Vic's last matches in APW before leaving for WWF. At the end of the match, Vic was joined by Erin O'Grady and they received a farewell from all the APW superstars and fans. The night ended with an emotional speach by Robert Thompson and Michael Modest under the moonlight in the cold October air.
