IWA Mid South presents a very special match of international proportions as the IWA Switzerland Champion; “Double C” Claudio Castagnoli takes on a former IWA World Champ, “Anarchist” Arik Cannon.
Castagnoli made his way to the ring in grand fashion with his “million dollar jacket” sparkling and shining with jewels. He had the height advantage, but Cannon had the weight advantage. Even before the match began, the commentators kept saying that this had the potential to be a wrestling clinic. After the two exchange some submission moves and holds on each other, none other than Chris Hero comes out to observer the match. If you remember it was Hero who cost Cannon the opportunity to compete in the TPI invitational. Cannon did his best to not let Hero affect the match he was having with Castagnoli.
After tricking playing possum and eluding Cannon a bit, Castagnoli began to go to work on Cannon’s weak shoulder, the same shoulder Hero injured at an earlier event. Would Cannon be able to overcome the odds despite his injured shoulder or would Castagnoli be able to capitalize on his foe’s weakness? And what is Chris Hero’s interest in this match?
